Focus on Life 7/52 - First Blooms of Spring


After a week of cloudy weather, the sun burst through the overcast and it truly felt like spring.  Especially when I spied these flowers hiding under a winter bare tree on my walk home.  I've always loved snowdrops, and this one was so open it reminded me of a starburst.

And walking up my front steps, I found these:


I can imagine them opening to the sun's warmth, then slowly furling again as the day crept into shadows and on toward evening, which is how I found them.  I can't wait to see them fully open tomorrow!

    I love the first signs of spring, knowing the cold won't last forever! I'm still waiting for it here.

    Not sure when my croci will break through the snow and start blooming... can't wait! Lovely flowers... not looking forward to trading my sand for snow, when we go home Monday!

    Lovely hopeful Spring Flowers. You certainly get Spring early!! I imagine you have beautiful flowers from now on with all that moisture and good growing weather.

    I love Spring bulbs. They seem to appear like magic each year and give us the first signs of Spring.

    Your pretty spring flowers make me long to head to our home on Vancouver Island where I'm sure it is spring as well. My favorite time of year!
